30 Days of Sweetgreen Challenge

Eligibility

The Application process is open to legal U.S. residents who are at least 18 years of age or age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older (19 in AL & NE; 21 in MS), and who have an established and active Instagram or TikTok account prior to Application submission. Employees of Sweetgreen, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies, and members of their immediate family (spouse and parent, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, will not be considered. Void where prohibited by law. The Application process is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By submitting an Application, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and decisions of Sweetgreen, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Application process.

How to Submit

Beginning at or around 12:00 p.m. PT on September 2, 2026, visit here and follow the directions to complete and submit the application form, including providing your reason(s) for wanting to participate in the Challenge and your Instagram and/or TikTok username and any other public, active social account(s) (“Application”). Application submission ends at 11:59 p.m. PT 9/7/26 or when Sweetgreen has selected 30 participants, whichever occurs first; however, Sweetgreen reserves the right to close the Application process sooner, at its sole discretion. 

Applications generated by artificial intelligence tools or software, script, macro, automated or other means with the intent to subvert the Application process are void. Limit one (1) Application per person. Multiple Applications from any person beyond their first Application submitted will be void. All Applications become the property of Sweetgreen.

Requirements of Applications

Sweetgreen, in its sole discretion, may disqualify your Application for any reason, including if it determines that your Application fails to conform to these Terms and Conditions in any way or otherwise contains unacceptable content. 

Application must be your own work product. Application may not contain, as determined by the Sweetgreen, in its sole discretion, any content that:

• is sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; contains nudity;

• promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message;

• is obscene or offensive; endorses any form of hate or hate group; 

• appears to duplicate any other submitted Applications;  

• defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about Sweetgreen, its products or services, or other people or companies;

• contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress (such as distinctive packaging or building exteriors/interiors) owned by others, without permission, to the extent permission is necessary; 

• contains any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses;

• contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including quote or words of others, photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media), without permission, to the extent permission is necessary;

• contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, or other indicia identifying any person, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead, without permission; 

• contains look-alikes of celebrities or other public or private figures, living or dead;

• communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will to which we wish to associate; and/or

• violates any law.

Selection Process

Applicants will be evaluated among other things, on their reason(s) for wanting to participate in the Challenge, past content created and posted as shown on their social profile(s), number of followers and follower engagement, eloquence/persuasiveness, and alignment with brand image and objectives.

Selection Notification / Requirements

If you are selected to participate in the Challenge (each, a “Creator”), you will be notified by email and will be required to respond to initial notification within 72 hours. Potential Creators will be required to execute and return a Challenge Creator Agreement. If a potential Creator does not respond to the initial notification within the time period stated, does not return all required documentation within the time period stated in the applicable communication, or if the notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential Creator cannot participate in the Challenge during the dates specified by Sweetgreen, is not willing to create and post content of their Challenge journey, or is not otherwise in compliance with these Terms and Conditions, they may no longer be considered.

Challenge Participation Details

The Challenge is expected to take place between September 14, 2026 and October 13, 2026 (exact dates subject to change at the discretion of Sweetgreen) (“Challenge Period”). A credit in the amount of $700 will be deposited into the Creator’s Sweetgreen account each Monday of the Challenge Period which Creator must use to purchase two (2) meals per day each day of that week of the Challenge Period. Any amount spent in excess of the credit provided is the Creator’s sole responsibility.  If a Creator does not have a Sweetgreen account, they must establish one in order to receive the credit. All Sweetgreen terms apply. Should a Creator fail to submit Challenge Content (as defined below) for approval to Sweetgreen as directed, or publishes any content that violates these Terms and Conditions or the Challenge Creator Agreement, Sweetgreen reserves the right to disqualify such Creator from the Challenge and any remaining credit amount not used or not awarded will be forfeited. If Creator fails to use the total credit amount provided for any week, such remaining amount will be forfeited. Sweetgreen may also require Creator to promptly edit, remove, or delete any such content (not to exceed 24 hours of Sweetgreen’s request).  

Creators who complete the Challenge in full will subsequently receive an additional $500 credit in their Sweetgreen account (the “Challenge Bonus”). To complete the Challenge, a Creator must publish all required Challenge Content on the schedule Sweetgreen designates, participate in all weekly check-ins, and remain in compliance with these Terms and Conditions and the Challenge Creator Agreement, as determined by Sweetgreen. The Challenge Bonus will expire 180 days after being dropped into the Creator’s account. 

The credit constitutes taxable compensation. Creators are solely responsible for all applicable taxes and must provide an IRS Form W-9. Sweetgreen will issue an IRS Form 1099 as required.

Creators acknowledge that any significant change to their diet may affect individuals differently and may involve certain health risks. Creators understand that participation is voluntary and Creators are solely responsible for determining whether the Challenge is appropriate for them.

Creators represent that they are in good health and do not have any medical condition, dietary restriction, food allergy, eating disorder, or other health concern that would make participation unsafe. Creators are encouraged to consult with their physician or other qualified healthcare provider before beginning the Challenge, particularly if they are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, take prescription medications, or have specific nutritional needs.

Creators understand that Sweetgreen's menu may not be suitable for every individual and may contain allergens or ingredients that could cause adverse reactions. Creators agree to review ingredient and allergen information before consuming any food and to make dietary choices appropriate for their personal health needs.

Creators voluntarily assume all risks associated with the Challenge, including any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or other adverse health outcome that may result from their participation.

Each Creator agrees to create video and photo content of their Challenge journey using the guidelines provided by Sweetgreen (and incorporated herein by reference) which include a weekly check-in with Sweetgreen and weekly posting (“Challenge Content”). Each Creator understands that Sweetgreen shall have the right, but not the obligation, to review Challenge Content prior to it being posted by Creator and can request changes to such the Challenge Content or that such Content not be posted or taken down, as Sweetgreen sees fit.  

Challenge Content must be true, verifiable and reflect a Creator’s actual beliefs and experiences during the Challenge. 

Each Creator waives all moral rights in and to the Challenge Content and grants to Sweetgreen, its designees, successors, assigns and licensees, the right to post, report, edit, modify, reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works based upon, or otherwise exploit the Challenge Content and all elements embodied therein, along with Creator’s name, biographical information, likeness, performance, voice or image, in whole or in part, together with other materials, in any manner or media now known or hereafter devised (including, without limitation, posting the Challenge Content on Sweetgreen’s websites and social media accounts), throughout the world from September 2, 2026 through 90 days from the end of the Challenge Period (“Usage Period”) for advertising, promotional and other purposes, without further compensation, notification or permission. Sweetgreen has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein.  Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Challenge Content by third parties. Upon expiration of the Usage Period, Sweetgreen shall not be under any obligation to remove the Challenge Content from the “historical feed” of any Sweetgreen social media platforms.

Creators are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the positive spirit of the Challenge. Sweetgreen reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify, suspend, or remove any Creator whose conduct, public statements, social media activity, or other content made or posted before or during the Application process and/or Challenge is determined to be inappropriate, offensive, unlawful, misleading, harmful to others, or otherwise likely to subject Sweetgreen or the Challenge to public disrepute, controversy, or reputational harm. Sweetgreen may also disqualify any Creator whose conduct otherwise adversely affects Sweetgreen's reputation, goodwill, or the integrity of the Challenge. In addition thereto, Sweetgreen may disqualify a Creator for not complying with the Challenge Content guidelines. Upon any disqualification, no further credit will be deposited, any unused credit will be forfeited, and the Creator will not be eligible for the Challenge Bonus.

Publicity Grant and License / Use of Applications

By submitting an Application, you waive all moral rights in and to the Application and grants to Sweetgreen and its licensees, successors, designees, and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, unlimited, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to reproduce, distribute, display, exhibit, exploit, perform, edit, create derivatives of, and otherwise use the Application and all elements of such Application, together with any other material, and your name, user name, city and state of residence, voice, image and/or likeness (including, but not limited to, profile photo), in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in any manner, in whole or in part, worldwide, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, you or any third party, for any purpose whatsoever, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising or trade. You agree that, if required by Sweetgreen, you will sign documents to this effect. Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Applications by third parties. Sweetgreen has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein. 

General Conditions

By participating, you agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sweetgreen, Meta Platforms, Inc. (dba Instagram), and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the foregoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the Application process and/or, if applicable, in the Challenge (including any injury or harm related to participating in the Challenge). 

Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered or garbled Applications, emails, or other communications of any kind; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Application process, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Application process or in any Application-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Application process. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to any person's computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in this Application process or downloading materials from or use of any website or social platform. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Application process, any website or social platform, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Terms and Conditions, as solely determined by Sweetgreen, will not be considered. Sweetgreen reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Application process for any reason at any time. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SWEETGREEN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any action arising out of or relating to the Application process or these Terms and Conditions shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. 

This Application process is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Tiktok.
